  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for coating)
  • ¾ teaspoon nutmeg (for coating)
  • ½ teaspoon allspice (for coating)
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, apple cider, and sugars until creamy. Mix in the egg and salt until fully incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, and baking soda. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Form dough balls about 1 inch in diameter and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar coating mixture.
  5. Place coated dough balls on the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  6. Allow cookies to cool for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
