Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls (5 count)
  • 4 large apples (2 Honeycrisp and 2 Granny Smith)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (dissolved in water)
  • 5 tbsp butter (partially melted) for streusel
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour for streusel
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar for streusel
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon for streusel
  • 1/4 cup melted butter for icing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for icing
  • 2 tbsp milk for icing
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla for icing
  • 1/21 tsp cinnamon for icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a muffin tin with softened butter.
  2. Prepare the apple filling by peeling and dicing the apples. Mix with brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, melted butter, and dissolved cornstarch in a bowl. Microwave for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Press each cinnamon roll into the muffin cups, creating a cavity for the filling. Use a slotted spoon to fill each roll with the apple mixture.
  4. Mix streusel topping ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over the filled rolls. Bake for about 15 minutes, covering loosely with foil for the first five minutes.
  5. While baking, whisk together icing ingredients until smooth. Let rolls cool slightly before drizzling icing on top.
