  • ⅓ cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon (for filling)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt; combine with wet ingredients until just mixed.
  3. Roll dough into a rectangle between parchment paper.
  4. For the filling, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon; spread over the rolled dough.
  5. Roll into a log shape and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice chilled log into rounds and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and allow cooling on wire racks.
  8. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze; drizzle over cooled cookies.
