  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup kimchi
  • 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish; pour marinade over and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Cook rice according to package instructions; fluff with a fork.
  4. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat; cook the marinated steak for about 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  5. Let steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
