  • 2 cans (29 oz each) peaches in heavy syrup (one can's juice only)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (for topping)
  • Spices: salt, nutmeg, cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Pour one can of peaches along with its juice into a 9×13 baking pan. Drain the second can and add only the peaches.
  3. Mix melted butter, salt, lemon juice, sugar, and vanilla extract into the peaches.
